When you take a look into Olympus PEN E-P2’s retro styled body design, you might never think that this 12.3 megapixels olympus camera is loaded with several sophisticated features that make photography lovers awed at it. As a micro four third camera Olympus produced, E-P2 is an enhancement of its predecessor, the E-P1. The upgrade you’ll find in E-P2 compared to E-P1 is the detachable electronic view finder (VF-2) that would help you to make good shot from such position that hinders your view from the view finder. E-P2 also features 2 new Art Filter, adding the previous six found in E-P1.

Olympus PEN E-P2 Review

What people love from this Olympus camera is because of its combination of high still picture quality (that some people claim can match againts those produced by a DSLR), and a HD quality video recording (720p), you can even change the aperture. Not to mention its AF tracking features that made sport photography easier. Well, I’m sure you can find other details specification of E-P2 in their official sites, let’s get on to the review.

If you ask me what makes me want to buy an Olympus E-P2, then my answer would be because of its superb image producing quality. This camera also have good AutoFocus and exposure, make it like a SLR camera in a more compact body. However, the supposed to be reliable Electronic View Finder seems fail to bring us realistic preview of the images we will take. E-P2 images will also have noise when you use it in a low light scene, but you can still switch into manual focus when you feel need to.

To conclude in this E-P2 review, it is a good camera with good images. And Olympus really did the job to make E-P2 better than E-P1. E-P2 price right now is still at $1,099 and I bet many people want it to drop fast so that they can buy E-P2 cheaper.
