Nikon D300S DSLR Camera Compared to Nikon D300
August 3rd, 2009 | by CameraBang |
As we know that a few days ago Nikon announced their new DSLR Camera, D300S and D3000, most of the Nikon DSLR fans questioning, “If D300S is an update of D300, then what’s the improvement?”
There are no many change you will find in this Nikon D300S, but the change can be useful for someone though. One of the improvement of Nikon D300S compared to D300 is they add a video recording feature to D300S. This new Nikon DSLR have the same video engine as Nikon D90. D300S can record video at 720p resolution for 24fps at max. It’s not really great, but at least we can use it occasionally I think
Nikon D300S video recording also support an autofocus during the recording process, but we haven’t confirmed its usability though. This Nikon DSLR also use the Picture Control to adjust the tone and Color and have a stereo mic input.

While you can’t see too many changes in Nikon D300S DSLR camera, the continuous photo shoot mode have increased to 7 fps (up 1fps compared to D300), and Nikon improves its Live View, Autofocus system and you might find accelerated image processing in D300S. The dual slot CF and SD card slots is a blessing too in D300S. I guess that’s all about Nikon D300S DSLR camera improvement. We’ll be waiting for you at August’s end in the digital camera store, along with Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 at September
