Nikon D3000, The Nikon D40 replacement

August 3rd, 2009 | by CameraBang |

The era of the D40 is going to be over soon as Nikon announced their Nikon D3000 DSLR camera to engage the entry level DSLR camera user.

When you look into Nikon D3000, you might found its outer design unchanged compared to Nikon D40. However, Nikon already did their homework to improve this new Nikon DSLR camera performance like updating the Auto Focus (AF) systems (D3000 can do up to 11 point autofocus) and even enables to perform behind the scenes face detection. Another improvement of Nikon D3000 you can find is enhanced air flow to improve dust reduction and better midtone correction in the Active D-Lighting. The D3000’s LCD screen size is also 0.5 inch bigger than D40’s :D

As an entry level DSLR camera, Nikon really tried to make the interface simpler for D3000 users, including a new Guide mode that will make the “setting up” photographic features of D3000 activity easier. In the entry level DSLR camera market, Nikon D3000 is rivaled by Canon Rebel XS with the same price range. Let’s just wait how things going for the new Nikon D3000 and Nikon D300S DSLR camera in the market this late August. :D
