Fujifilm Finepix J30 Review – 12 Megapixel with Good ISO 400 Image Quality
September 27th, 2009 | by CameraBang |
Fujifilm Finepix J30 came as a point and shoot digital camera offering a simple design and decent picture quality for your everyday photo taking activity. This 12 Megapixel Fujifilm offers 3x Optical Zoom lens (32-96 mm) with f2.9 maximum apperture.

J30’s simple design with the dimension of 92 x 56 x 22 mm were thin enough to easily carried in your pocket. This Fujifilm Finepix’s 2.7 inch LCD screen have low resolution and speed, but its brightness was good enough. I would love to rely on an optical viewfinder, but unfortunately its not available in Finepix J30. The menu controls in this Fujifilm J30 was user friendly enough, the only visibility difficulties might come due to the changing background when open the menu.

J30’s lens quality was good, even though a 3x Optical Zoom seems to be incompetitive with the other cameras in this price range that offers 4 or 5x Optical zoom. The Macro Mode function work well (at 10cm distance) and the ISO levels is usable up to 400 from the offered 3200. In ISO 800 above Finepix J30 shots tends to show more disturbing noise. With this Fujifilm Finepix, you can record motion picture an VGA resolution and mono sound.
To conclude in this Fujifilm Finepix J30 review, it was a pretty standard camera and might be suitable for entry level users that focus more on usability and user friendly interface. J30’s good image quality at ISO 400 is the hottest feature for its price.
