Canon Powershot SD960 IS Review
September 1st, 2009 | by CameraBang |

Canon Powershot SD960 IS is a slim Digital Elph camera featuring a 12.1 Megapixel CCD captures and a wide angle 4x Optical Zoom Lens. From its slim metal body, this Canon SD960 will make people think that it was just a basic point and shoot camera. However, in my opinion, SD960 holds many camera features I seek in a slim pocket camera. Let’s check it out in this Canon Powershot SD 960 IS Reviews.
What I really like from Canon SD960 IS was their intelligent features harnessing a DIGIC 4 image processor. This little camera also record videos in HD quality, i-Contrast features that enables you make a brighter photoshot with more shadow details on it, the Smart Auto mode and new Scene Detection Features that use intelligent scene analysis system, delivering good images for any subjects. Powershot SD960 IS provides multi point focus up to 9 point. Not to forget the Face and even Blink Detection features, along with Red Eye correction. This canon SD960 were pretty handful for any beginner user
Canon SD960 IS can take good photo quality in ISO 400, however, some digital noise is pretty apparent when I take photos in ISO 200 and print it using a letter-sized media. To have the price of $270, the 2.8 inch display and 28-112mm lens should suffice if you don’t want to buy the more expensive Canon SD970 IS priced at $370 that features a larger screen and longer lens (37-185mm).
In this Canon SD 960 IS review, I can say that I’m pretty satisfied for the price given by SD960 IS and the performance it delivers.
