Canon Powershot New Cameras 2009’s Fall

Last month, Canon have announced their new lines Powershot Camera for 2009’s fall. These new canon cameras was intended to engage almost all of camera users, from the fashionable Canon SD series lovers to the serious compact camera user and those in need for a long zoom pocket camera.
The six new Canon powershot announced in August were Canon Powershot SD980 and SD940 for the stylish canon camera market, Powershot SX20 and SX120 for the one who loves to do some telephoto with their Canon compact camera, Canon G11 and S90 for the one who wanted a maximum performance from their pocket camera.
Canon G11 and S90 seems to be the invaluable one among the six new cameras, because both of this camera features a specially designed 10 megapixels sensor, enhancing image quality in low light shots and better noise reduction. Canon Powershot G11 also adds a 29-mm wide angle lens and provide flexibiliy for more optional addons (ie. additional speedlight). Both of this high performance canon powershots will be available in October, with the price of $500 for Canon G11 and $430 for Powershot S90.
For camera users that loves to do telephoto a lot with their compact camera, Canon SX20 and Powershot SX120 was there to serve your long zoom compact camera needs. The Powershot SX20 offer a higher zoom than the other one, it has 20x Optical Zoom lenses and added HD video recording (at 30fps) plus a HDMI output to play your HD records in the supported digital TV, all for the price of $400. The more budget friendly Canon Powershot SX120 (priced $250) offers a 10x Optical Zoom capability like the long zoom Kodak Z915 camera, giving you an alternative choice on choosing your telephoto partners.
And.. for the stylish camera user, Canon released the Powershot SD980 and Canon SD940 to satisfy the need of fashion touch in your compact cameras. Both of this new powershot cameras features a 12.1 megapixels sensor, HD video recording but have different zoom capability, the Canon SD980 have 5x optical zoom lens while Powershot SD940 have only 4x Optical Zoom capability. Their price difference is not too far, SD980 is priced at $330, while you can get SD940 $30 cheaper from Canon SD980.
Many camera users that have high expectation in Canon new lines camera. I really hope that this new poweshot cameras will be more functional than Fujifilm 3d Finepix W1 and can compete with Nikon S1000PJ projector innovation.
