For BenQ camera fans that was a majority of casual photography lover, the news of BenQ DSC E1240, a new 12 megapixels camera is going to be good news for you. This latest edition of BenQ point and shoot camera sports a 35-105mm lens with 3x Optical Zoom, a standard zooming capability for nowadays pocket camera that only have 18mm thickness.

E1240 also features Super Shake Free (S.S.F), an AF Area Select, M-Burst Mode, Auto Panorama, Fisheye mode. This BenQ pocket camera shoot with ISO levels from 80 to 3200, but we haven’t confirmed its ability to shoot in low light condition yet. On the interface department, BenQ E1240 gives you USB 2.0, an AV output and PictBridge compatible.

E1240 uses an SD card expansion slot (Up to 32GB SDHC card available) and its battery life is approx 200 shots. This BenQ 12 megapixels camera also features a HD Recording capability at 1280 x 720 with 20fps. You can record in lower resolution if you prefer to have a 30fps video recording and view it on DSC E1240 2.7 inch preview screen that have 2 LED backligt and claimed to give a brighter and clearer previews. One cool features I found on this compact camera is their fisheye features, well, most of my friends is crazy about buying a jelly lens so that they can get a fisheye effects on the camera, and the E1240 digital camera already provide that feature in them.
